The Chinese company began selling the FY-11 coupe-crossover built on Volvo units
The company Geely announced the start of sales of the new flagship coupe-crossover FY-11, which is known in the home market under the name Xing Yue. The car, which can later reach Russia, will be available with both standard engines and a hybrid power plant.
The novelty is built on a modular platform CMA, developed by Geely in conjunction with Volvo experts. A McPherson type suspension is used in the front, and a multi-lever suspension is used at the back.
Geely FY-11 received a two-liter supercharged four-cylinder gasoline unit, issuing 238 hp and 350 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an eight-speed Aisin automatic transmission. Acceleration from spot to 100 km/h takes 6.8 seconds.
In addition, the cross-coupe is offered with a “soft” hybrid power plant, where the 177-horsepower three-cylinder turbo engine is paired with a starter-generator, a 48-volt on-board network and a seven-band dual-clutch robot.
The top option is a plug-in hybrid with the same three-cylinder unit and an electric motor, which together develop 258 hp and 415 N · m of torque. With a top-end battery pack of 15.2 kWh, the car can drive up to 80 kilometers exclusively on electric propulsion.
The list of electronic assistants includes adaptive cruise control, traffic assistance assistant in traffic jams, the active function of observing traffic lane, a circular review system and a traffic sign recognition function.
