Garage Italia built Alfa Romeo Giulia with a fresco on the ceilingJuly 5, 2019
The car will be part of the park rental company Hertz
The custom workshop Garage Italia from Milan built an art version of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce sedan for the Hertz rental company. The car was named La Giulia Veloce Grand Tour, and its distinctive feature was the “fresco” on the ceiling, made in the style of works by Italian artists Taddeo and Federico Zuccaro.
Custom Giulia is painted in a bluish tint, repeating the color of the mineral lapis lazuli. The interior is also sustained in bluish tones, and for its decoration is used leather from the Italian furniture company Poltrona Frau and alcantara. But the main element is the “fresco” on the ceiling, based on the work of Taddeo and Federico Zuciaco’s “Zodiac”, which can be seen in the castle of Castello Orsini-Odescalchi near Rome.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce Grand Tour will be part of the premium catalog of the Italian branch of Hertz called Selezione Italia – there are already three electric Fiat 500 Jollys, also built by Garage Italia. The car can be rented at the main offices of the company, which are located in Florence, Milan, Rome and Venice.
Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce is driven by either a two-liter turbo-four with a capacity of 280 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, or a 2.2 diesel engine, issuing 210 hp and 470 Nm of torque. The gearbox is an eight-speed automatic, the drive is full. The sedan version with a gasoline engine accelerates to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.2 seconds, with a diesel engine in 6.8 seconds.
