FV Frangivento Asfanè DieciDieci or an unknown 1000 hp hypercarMay 27, 2019
On May 30 of this year, the Italian brand will present the first hypercar in its history. Under its hood will be a 1000 hp hybrid power plant.
Have you ever heard the name FV Frangivento? Most likely, the answer will be negative, so let’s share with you something interesting about this Italian automaker. He will demonstrate a prototype of his first ever serial hypercar on May 30 this year at the National Automobile Museum in Turin (Italy).
The vehicle in question is called Asfanè DieciDieci. In the Piedmontese dialect, “asfane” means “this cannot be done” and probably refers to the efforts of the people behind the creation of the prototype. The word “DieciDieci” means “ten ten” and shows the metric power of the hybrid hypercar.
Speaking of the power plant, nothing has yet been officially confirmed, but it is assumed that Asfanè DieciDieci will be equipped with a hybrid system consisting of a turbo-charged gasoline engine and two electric motors.
The engine will be located on the rear axle, and the motor will be built into each of the front wheels, providing a four-wheel drive configuration. The power of this hybrid power plant will be about 1000 horsepower or 746 kilowatts.
It is important to note that this is not a car ready for production. Representatives of the company say that the project marks a “new chapter in the history of FV Frangivento” and is the development of the Asfane concept since 2016. They combine aluminum architecture with handmade aluminum and carbon fiber bodies.
Finally, I note that FV Frangivento is a partner of leading automotive companies such as Pirelli, Sparco, Brembo and OZ Racing.
