FUV – three-wheeled electric motorcycles, developed by the American company ArcimotoFebruary 12, 2019
They look like a hybrid of a buggy and a scooter, and according to the documents they are listed as motorcycles. In fact, in front of us – trike. But unlike the standard trike, this vehicle has two wheels located in front. According to engineers, this design provides increased maneuverability and stability of the “apparatus”.
The maximum speed of FUV is 121 km / h. Power reserve – 161 km. Additionally, the trike is equipped with the function of seat heating and steering, bluetooth speakers, removable doors and lockable trunk.
Arcimoto has reportedly been working on the electric spray for 12 years. During this time, the startup produced small test batches. With each new iteration, the engineers managed not only to increase the efficiency of the solution, but also to reduce its cost: for example, early prototypes were estimated at $ 41 thousand, at the moment the FUV price is $ 20 thousand. In the future it is planned to reduce it to $ 12 thousand.
Last autumn, Arcimoto began accepting pre-orders, and now there are almost 3,000 of them. Recently, the company officially announced the start of deliveries. It is planned that the first hundred pre-orders will receive their electric strikes by the end of June, while the rest will have to wait until mid-2020.
