Future hot hatch Abarth 500 Electric showed on exclusive rendersJanuary 15, 2021
The current model line of Abarth, a company from Turin, Italy, that produces sports cars based on Fiat, is gradually expanding. The next update may be related to the Fiat 500e.
Fiat President Olivier François recently announced on social media that the Abarth division will be able to work on an electric city car. The designers of the foreign portal Motor1.com tried to imagine how a dynamic Fiat 500e, which visited Abarth workshops, could look like.
This hot hatch gets a black and gold livery in the style of Abarth 595 Scorpioneoro, a neat hood with deep parallel stampings, expressive head optics, original wheels, etc.
The manufacturer does not speak about the dynamic characteristics of the “charged” novelty, and auto experts do not undertake to make assumptions yet.
The regular city car under the Fiat logo produces 118 horsepower. With it, a miniature electric car accelerates to a hundred in 9 seconds, and its maximum speed is 150 km / h. The power reserve of the Fiat 500e reaches 320 kilometers. A more powerful motor will drain the battery more, which means that the range of the more powerful version will suffer.
Electric hot hatches will soon become part of the global car market. The first in this niche, most likely, will declare itself electric modification Mini JCW GP.
Earlier, a curious render of a coupe-like Volvo XC40 appeared on the Web. The new, more sloping roof will require a redesign of the cabin, which will not go unnoticed for the rear passengers.
