Fusion Motor showed 430-hp Land Rover Defender

While the whole world expects a new generation of the legendary SUV Defender, the Californian tuner presented its special version with a powerful motor.

The tuning company Fusion Motor from Los Angeles showed its special version of the Land Rover Defender with the upgraded engine V8 LS3.

The borrowed 6.2-liter V8 LS3 engine is the development of the concern of General Motors. It was installed from 2008 to 2015 on the model Chevrolet Corvette C6 and Camaro SS. The power of this unit is 430 horsepower and 575 Nm of torque.

Recall that the most powerful factory engine V8 for the special version of Land Rover Defender Works has a working volume of 5.0 liters and a capacity of 405 horsepower and 515 Nm. It turns out that the swap is more powerful by 25 hp. and 60 Nm.

Also, as part of the transformation of the classic SUV, the American tuning studio installed a six-speed automatic GM transmission and adapted it to the transmission. Customers will be able to additionally order bridges of increased strength.

In addition to the improved powertrain, the Defender was equipped with a new grille, LED headlights, a new front bumper and side footrests, as well as a set of 18-inch glossy black wheels with all-terrain tires Nitto Ridge Grappler.

The interior of the SUV was also transformed. In it, the seats were covered with two-tone leather and the panels were made of lacquered black plastic.

Similar tuning with Defender last year was conducted by the American tuner TopHat Classics, who has been working on this classic SUV for 25 years. He also installed a 6.2-liter V8 LS3 engine and updated the exhaust system, the fuel delivery system. And as a transmission used a six-speed manual Tremec T56 Magnum.

A new generation of Land Rover Defender will receive a significantly improved body design. Its premiere is to be held this year.
