Fully electric Peugeot e-208 will arrive at the famous SilverstoneJune 7, 2019
The most famous British Formula One circuit was the venue for the special event “Fully Charged Live”, which opened its doors today, June 7th.
From June 7 to June 9, the famous Silverstone racing circuit will host Fully Charged Live. Recall that this legendary “show” is traditionally devoted to the consumption of clean energy and, directly, electric vehicles themselves. As part of this event, Peugeot is going to present its Peugeot e-208 compact urban electric car. This “green” novelty – part of the plans of the French automaker to electrify its model range. The “upgrade” of the model range should be completed by the year 2023.
The basis for the all-electric citycar from Peugeot was the compact modular platform e-CMP.
A 136-hp motor and a set of batteries are responsible for the performance of the electric car. On a single charge, such an environmentally friendly car will be able to drive about 340 kilometers. Peugeot e-208 accelerates to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds, the developers claim. In addition, the new French electric car will support the fast charge: the battery can be charged up to 80% in just half an hour.
In the meantime, the new Opel Corsa-e electric car acquired the official price tag.
