From the SUV Mercedes G-Class made cars for touristsApril 27, 2019
The full-size Mercedes G-Class SUV has become the basis for the tourist all-terrain vehicle. The car was shown as part of the 4×4 RV event, which took place near the German Frankfurt. The car is made by Off Road Center (ORC) from Germany.
We do not often see how a brutal Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV turns into a touring car. I must say that recently such cars are very popular as the basis for motorhomes – people need such cars that can transport them even through the most cruel off-road.
The German Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV is ideally suited for this task. Specifically, this version of the legend created by tuning companies Off Road Center (ORC) from Germany.
As the name implies, the guys are creating the perfect machines for overcoming off-road. On YouTube’s channel of foreign blogger Alan Hev, a video appeared on which he tells in detail about a tourist car based on the German Gelandewagen. The novelty was presented at a recent 4×4 RV show, which was held near the German Frankfurt.
Unfortunately, we did not provide much information about the technical side of this project. The company ORC calls the resulting car completely exclusive. The company offers many off-road campers based on the G-class, although this one is slightly different among them. The car received increased ground clearance, off-road tires, and a winch.
All that is behind the front seats, pulled out and replaced with a cozy module for camping. Inside the living area with a raised roof there is enough space for rest, and there is also a folding bed. There is a dining area at the back, which can turn into a second bed, and the elegant pull-out stove and sink become a compact kitchen. On the contrary, there is a refrigerator with extra storage space around it.
