From the gates of the company AddArmor rolled out a luxury armored SUV Cadillac EscaladeFebruary 13, 2019
The American company AddArmor specializing in armor protection of cars and SUVs introduced a new set of improvements called the Executive Protection Package for the Cadillac Escalade.
The emphasis in AddArmor was made not only on the protection of a Cadillac SUV, but also on a more luxurious interior design. The volume of alterations includes installation of special plates made of composite materials around the perimeter of the cage of the cabin, which, if representatives of the company are to be believed, are 10 times stronger and 60% lighter than traditional armored steel, as well as 5 cm thick bulletproof glass. They are able to withstand small arms shots, including assault rifles and pistol bullets up to caliber 44.
In the event of an attack, you can turn on the siren, and provided protection against explosion. In addition, the modified SUV received reinforced brakes and can ride with flat tires.
The roof of Escalade in AddArmor was raised by 11 cm to increase the space above the heads and install LED lighting. There is a 32-inch TV, Wi-Fi hotspot, all-around viewing system with night vision camera and Sony audio system.
About how the installation of protection affected the mass and dynamics of the car, is not specified. Preliminary orders for the armored Escalade are already being taken, in America the cost starts from 350 thousand dollars.
