French cars significantly lost to the “Japanese” in the ranking of qualityJune 3, 2020
The British insurance company By Mails has studied the database of vehicle operation, which covers a wide variety of spectra – from information on fuel consumption and mileage to scheduled maintenance. Among other things, this study identified the most reliable and unreliable fresh cars.
Those machines that could not pass the technical condition test the first time were taken into account. In this case, only relatively new machines were taken into account – from 3 to 5 years old.
It is interesting that Japanese cars entered the top three – Honda and Toyota were recognized as the most reliable (they account for an average of 4-7% of cars that did not pass the test the first time). But the top three anti-ratings were led by French models (15-21% of cars that did not pass the test the first time). In general, the TOP-5 of the most reliable and TOP-5 of the most unreliable cars is as follows:
Vauxhall (Opel) Insignia
As for car brands, at the top of the list were the following five brands: Lexus, Honda, Porsche, Mini and Suzuki. But at the end of the rating – Renault, Citiroen, Dacia, Vauxhall (Opel), Volvo.
