Against each other exhibited E30 Roberto Ravaglia, E46 CSL, E92 GTS and F80 KS
The British site Carwow compared in the drag race the BMW M3 sports cars of four generations. Among them: a limited version of the coupe M3 E30 Roberto Ravaglia, M3 E46 CSL, M3 E92 GTS and the current M3 F80 CS. All cars took part in several races from the site and the course.
The oldest participant of the competition – M3 E30 Roberto Ravaglia – is equipped with a 2.3-liter turbo four, whose capacity is 215 horsepower. From a place to a hundred kilometers per hour, the coupe can accelerate in 6.7 seconds. M3 E46 CSL with a 360-hp in-line six in volume of 3.2 liters does the same for 4.9 seconds.
Under the hood of the M3 E92 GTS, which came out in only 138 copies, an atmospheric 4.4 V8 was installed, delivering 450 horsepower (440 Nm torque). Up the first 100 km/h coupe accelerates in 4.4 seconds. The last participant – M3 F80 CS – is equipped with a three-liter twin-turbo “six”. The output of the unit is 460 forces and 600 Nm of torque. From a place to 100 km/h the sports car is capable to be dispersed for 3,9 seconds.
