Foton will release two brutal pickup trucksSeptember 8, 2020
Newest cars will be presented at the Beijing Auto Show in late September.
Chinese automaker Foton manufactures light commercial vehicles, trucks and pickups. Until now, the company has sold modified Isuzu pickups and its own Foton Tunland. However, recently it became known that the Chinese will show two new models in Beijing at once.
The first will be Foton General, which will be the successor to Foton Tunland on the inside and almost an exact copy of the Ford F-150 on the outside. The engine range of the model will include 2.0- and 2.5-liter diesel engines and one 2-liter gasoline engine with 238 hp, which will be paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox from ZF.
The second car does not yet have an official name and is presented by the company in the form of a render. It will be a two-row cab pickup, styled in the spirit of GM pickups. The model is expected to be powered by a 3.8-liter diesel engine, paired with a 48-volt starter-generator. And if the first car will go on sale in November, then the date of the appearance of the second remains a mystery.
