Foton showed a pickup very similar to the Ford F-150September 28, 2020
The new Foton General G9 pickup was presented at the Beijing Auto Show. The model debuted in two variations at once – basic and off-road.
The mid-size pickup gets a face piece that resembles the new Ford F-150. The similarity is caused by the radiator grill and the head light. For the interior of the General G9 used perforated leather in two shades and carbon fiber overlays. The display of the infotainment complex is not built into the center console, but is installed in a tablet-like manner. Judging by the photo of the interior, there appeared a non-fixed transmission joystick and a rotary “washer” to select the operating mode.
The novelty will be available with three engines to choose from – 2.0- and 2.5-liter diesel engines, as well as a 2.0-liter gasoline “turbo four”. Currently, the characteristics of only the last unit are known: 238 hp. (390 Nm), together with which the 8-speed automatic transmission ZF and all-wheel drive will function.
The off-road version of Foton General showed some elements from the set of original accessories prepared for the pickup. The truck received alternative rims with off-road tires, power bumpers with towing eyes, additional light and powerful side steps.
Foton General G9 will be on sale in the Chinese market in October this year at a cost of 129.8 thousand yuan
In addition, it was recently noted that the interior of the Lordstown Endurance electric pickup was declassified. It should be emphasized that the cost of the most affordable car modification will be $ 52,500.
