Ford will train owners of the new Mustang Shelby GT500December 12, 2019
The American automaker will offer driving lessons for owners of muscle cars.
Recall that the new 2018 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 model year is equipped with a 5.2 liter V8 rated at 760 hp. and a torque of 847 Nm.
Representatives of the company believe that at the wheel of such a car you need to be as prepared as possible, because it accelerates from zero to 100 km / h in 3.5 seconds, and acceleration 0-100-0 mph takes 10.6 seconds.
Ford will offer exclusive free driving lessons for GT500 owners on the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina. Specialists at Ford Performance Racing School have developed a special program for teaching Shelby GT500 owners how to drive for track and drag-strip races, as well as classroom instruction.
The GT500 Track Attack is the latest in a line of similar programs for owners offered by Ford Performance. During the training, motorists learn about the capabilities of their cars thanks to the professional training of instructors in the classroom and on the four-lane drag strip.
During the one-day course, drivers will learn cornering, braking, and Shelby GT500 dynamics.
Ford product line manager Dave Pericucke said: “With its supercar-level propulsion system, the all-new Shelby GT500 drives the Mustang to a level of performance that was once available only for the exotic.” Pericucke also added: “The GT500 Track Attack is absolutely necessary to help owners understand how to get the most out of their cars. It promises to be an exciting experience — one that owners will never forget. ”
For training, the Shelby GT500 of the Ford Performance Racing School will be provided. Drivers can also go through an additional, second day of training on the upgraded Ford Mustang GT. The American automaker will cover the costs of driving schools, and the owners will pay for travel, hotel and can also book an additional day of training.
