Ford will release two special versions of the ExplorerOctober 16, 2020
The move was taken to boost sales of the model, which had dropped even before the coronavirus epidemic.
Ford has unveiled two versions of the Explorer. At the end of 2019, the volume of sales of this model decreased by 26%. Against the backdrop of such problems, Ford decided to expand the list of available modifications from 2 to 4. Two new versions were named King Ranch and Timberline.
The King Ranch package is already familiar to many from the same version of the popular F-150. At the same time, Ford has not yet begun to disclose details about the new product, however, if we build on other cars of the brand in the King Ranch version, such a car will become more luxurious and technologically advanced.
The Timberline version did not come as a big surprise either – most likely, such a car will receive changes in the exterior. This is evidenced by spy photos of the car, on which you can see a new grille and other tire parameters.
Earlier it was reported that the Explorer models would receive a lower price tag to boost sales.
However, this information has not yet been officially confirmed.
Earlier it became known that Ford Kuga cars in Europe will need repairs. It is noteworthy that we are talking only about modifications with a hybrid version of the engine. The reason for the recall is quite serious – a possible fire of the batteries.
