Ford will release a new electric car based on the Mustang Mach-ENovember 12, 2020
Ford previously unveiled the Mustang Mach-E electric crossover, which will have to compete with the Tesla Model Y, Mercedes-Benz EQC and Jaguar I-Pace. However, the Americans, obviously, are not going to limit themselves to them and will soon begin to expand the line of electric SUVs.
The new and more affordable model will be built on the platform of the electric Mustang Mach-E and will be assembled there – in Mexico, at the plant in the city of Cuautitlan.
The Mustang Mach-E price tag in the US starts at $ 43,895, a new electric crossover, apparently, could cost less than $ 40,000.
There are no other details about Ford’s new electric car, probably a compact model aimed at those customers who simply cannot afford the Mustang Mach-E. Production of the Mach-E will begin on December 7th.
We will remind, earlier the head of the Ford company said that the price tag of future models with electric installations will be much more attractive than that of competitors.
