Ford will hire scootersNovember 11, 2018
Ford bought a whole company that was renting electric scooters in San Francisco.
According to Ford experts and analysts, this is more than an adequate solution: it will expand its market to include people who do not need cars but are ready to use unusual means of transport for short movements.
The company bought by the automobile giant is called Spin and it began its life two years ago, having grown in a matter of months to more than 10 cities of different scales.
Renting an electronic scooter costs a dollar and operating fifteen cents per minute. All scooters are stuffed with special optics, ABS brakes and a very sensitive handle that makes the accelerator work.
Despite the fact that Ford refused to disclose the amount spent on the purchase of the company, but it is already known that the Americans are planning to open branches in more than a hundred cities, which means high hopes put by the Americans on the newly purchased service.
