Ford tests its new SUVOctober 16, 2019
The car is an analogue of the Subaru Outback and Audi Allroad and will replace the Mondeo / Fusion. The premiere of the news should take place next year.
Ford conducts active road tests of its new SUV. Autoblog reporters managed to take photos of the new car. Earlier, the leadership of the American company decided to reduce the lineup in the United States. Thus, the place of Mondeo / Fusion cars in the lineup will be occupied by new crossovers and SUVs. Externally, the front part of the car completely coincides with the latest generation Ford Focus. This also applies to the grille and navigation lights. But unlike the Focus, the new car will have an increased wheelbase and ground clearance.
The new SUV will be similar in characteristics to the Subaru Outback and Audi Allroad. It is expected that the powertrain car will borrow from the Kuga and Escape models.
In this case, the engine range will include a 1.5-liter turbo engine with a return of 181 hp, a supercharged 2.0-liter engine with a capacity of 250 hp, as well as a hybrid power plant consisting of a 2.0-liter aspirated and electric motor with a total return of 200 hp Engines will work with an automatic transmission. The drive in all trim levels is only full. Ford plans to present the model next year.
