Ford staged the world’s largest Mustang collectionSeptember 11, 2019
Ford set a world record for the most massive collection of Mustang sports cars. The event, which was attended by 1326 Mustangs of various years of release and modifications, was hosted by the European division of the American concern.
The meeting was organized at the Ford test site in Belgian Lommel, where more than 1.3 thousand cars of all generations of Mustang, produced since 1964, were assembled. Cars lined up in one column at a distance of 20 meters from each other.
In addition, sports cars and their drivers participated in a special choreographic show, dedicated to the celebration of the 55th anniversary of the release of the famous model. An American fighter from the Second World War P51 Mustang flew over the firing range, which gave the name to the Ford sports car. The organizers of the meeting managed to break the previous record of 2017, when 960 Ford Mustang cars were simultaneously assembled in the Mexican city of Toluca.
