Ford spectacularly announced its new electric carFebruary 19, 2021
The American automaker Ford has interestingly announced its new electrified model. It is expected that the new product from Ford will be a crossover with a 2.5-liter plug-hybrid engine.
Earlier this week, Ford made an important announcement about its commitment to electrification. The company is accelerating this process in Europe with plans to move to fully electric vehicles from 2030. The automaker has issued a lengthy press release detailing its strategy.
The official text was accompanied by several photos and a video, where Stuart Rowley, president of Ford Europe, detailed the automaker’s new strategy.
During an online press conference, he did not provide such information on future models, only said that we will hear and see more in the coming months. However, the silhouette of an unnamed car was visible throughout the video.
We could be wrong, of course, but such a sketch could be a very early teaser for the upcoming new electrified car from Ford. This form is somewhat similar to the heavily disguised high-seating car that foreign journalists captured just a few days ago. If we’re right, this silhouette video could be considered the first teaser for the upcoming mid-size Fusion / Mondeo receiver.
Ford is expected to unveil its new model before the end of the year. Some sources suggest it could be called a Mondeo / Fusion Active, while others say it will get a prefix to the name Evos. Be that as it may, you can look forward to an electrified, high-seating crossover that will likely get a 2.5-liter hybrid powertrain from the Ford Escape / Kuga.
Not so long ago, we wrote that Ford is asking its dealers to invest in electric vehicles. The American brand approached its dealers with a request to invest 35,000 dollars. in the sale of Ford electric vehicles.
