Ford of Europe previously asked fans to select a design for the Puma ST Special Edition and today, following a vote, the final result is announced.

Before we talk about design, it’s worth mentioning that the American company even let people choose the name of the sports crossover. As a result, about 59% of the votes were cast for the Puma ST Gold Edition, while the Puma ST 24K Edition became the loser.

For 10 days, people were allowed to vote on Instagram and Twitter for the best color scheme, with 56% choosing black, while the second was gray. Behind these shiny alloy wheels are the red painted brake calipers, which received 74% of the votes.

On the Fiesta ST crossovers, ST nameplates can be seen outside, for which about 79% of respondents voted. This crowdsourced design continues on the inside, where Ford fans were even allowed to choose the color of the stitching along with the lettering on the overlays.

However, we have the same Puma ST, which means that the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine continues to produce 197 hp. power and 320 Nm of torque. The engine sends power to the front wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. The model takes 6.7 seconds to accelerate to 100 km / h. Although Ford doesn’t mention, the optional Puma ST limited slip differential will likely be offered for the new Gold Edition as well. The assembly of the youth compact cross will be set up at the plant in Craiova, Romania, and the first deliveries to customers will begin before the end of 2021.

The cost of the new item has not yet been announced, but it is expected that it will have a higher price compared to the regular Puma ST. So, in Romania, such a car is estimated at 29,250 euros.

The model, meanwhile, remains banned in the United States, although Ford CEO Jim Farley has admitted he would like to see the Fiesta ST in the US and other markets.
