Ford publishes teaser for Bronco Warthog with 37-inch tiresSeptember 26, 2020
The press service of the Ford company has published a very interesting post on its page in the social network Twitter. There was also a photo of a camouflaged SUV prototype with huge 37-inch off-road tires.
The automaker has just tweeted yet another teaser photo of the upcoming high-performance Bronco SUV, which will be designated the Raptor or Warthog. The photo itself is not something we haven’t seen yet, but the “tweet” carries an obvious message and possibly a hidden one. More on this later.
It’s no secret that Ford is testing another Bronco variant that will outperform the rest. We’ve seen spy shots of the new car at close range, and there have certainly been rumors of more engine power as well as upgrades to the SUV’s suspension.
This is the first time we have confirmed tire size information for a novelty, and they are not small.
In the published photo, the SUV is equipped with 37-inch wheels – now, the SUV can only be ordered with 35-radius tires. Of course, this is a prototype, and there is no guarantee that the production version of the SUV will have tires the same size as in the photo, but even this is not a subject of our interest.
There has been some controversy over whether this most powerful and off-road version of the Bronco will be called the Raptor or the Warthog (patent documents for the latter were recently filed with the patent office). The message reads, “Testing 37-inch hooves! Future weekend will be much better!” And only the Warthog (warthog) has hooves, the Raptor dinosaur does not. This is the main mystery.
Whatever name the powerful SUV gets, expect upgraded suspension, large off-road tires and a 400-horsepower 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that the Ford Bronco SUV will receive an exclusive shade of Lightning Blue. Ford will offer its Bronco in an exclusive First Edition in a new Lightning Blue exterior color. The price for this option has not yet been announced. There is no information about when it will be possible to buy an SUV with this body color.
