The American automaker said that dealers will start accepting orders for the new product as early as June 15th.

coronavirus will tell on the release date of the new generation of the best-selling truck Ford F-150. Information has appeared on the profile forum that the launch date for mass production of the model has been shifted more than a month in two factories where pickup assembly has been established. Production will begin September 28 at the Ford plant in Dearborn, instead of August 17, and October 26 at the plant in Kansas City, while the original plans included the date September 14.

The new dates are provided by the forum administrator, who also says that orders for the model will begin to be accepted on June 15, and not on May 11, as previously planned. Recall that on May 18 it is planned to resume production at the factories of several automakers in Detroit, which have been idle since March.

The biggest news regarding the all-new F-150 is that the new generation will portend an electrified version – a hybrid version is planned for the beginning, and then a fully electric version. An update to the F-150 Raptor is also planned. The last two should not wait until 2022. According to the forum, Ford offers six different engines for a completely new model, including the 3.5-liter Twin-Turbo V6, which is believed to be involved in a hybrid version with an electric motor.

We also know that the new F-150 will receive an updated front end with a new grille. Inside, in the basic version, an 8-inch screen of the infotainment system will appear, and in more expensive versions – a 15-inch touchscreen of the Sync4 complex, as well as a fully digital instrument panel.
