Ford Mustang Mach 1 spotted at the NurburgringAugust 28, 2020
The spy video shows two examples of Ford Mustang Mach 1 driving on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife during testing. In addition to being an amazing sight, it also sounds amazing. The Mach 1 will go on sale in spring 2021.
“Manageability matters. The Mustang Mach 1 is our all-new pinnacle of Mustang 5.0L performance and also the track’s most tracked 5.0L V8 Mustang ever. And like many of our cars, Ford is often tested at the Nürburgring because it is one of the most dynamic and challenging roads in the world, ” – said Ford spokesman about how the Mach 1“ laps ”into the ring.
The two Mach 1s are absolutely identical and differ only in color. As Ford conducts handling tests, it is suspected that the pair are operating with slightly different suspension settings. Lap times and driver feedback on the feel will help engineers determine the ideal setting.
It’s worth noting that these Mustangs meet European specifications. They are devoid of the amber reflectors of the American “brothers”, and they have transparent taillights, whereas in the USA the lamps are red. This could mean that the Mach 1 will be available outside of North America, for example with the Bullitt version. But for now, the company has focused on launching the 2021 Mustang Mach 1 in North America.
It is clear from this video that the Mach 1 sounds amazing. The V8 emits the proper deep rumble that can still be heard even when the sports car is driven off the hilly road. The 5.0-liter engine develops 480 horsepower and works with both a 10-speed automatic transmission and a 6-speed manual transmission.
