Ford Mustang has got a new special versionAugust 21, 2021
The new car is executed in the style of the Ford Mustang LX 5.0 Convertible model of the 90s of the last century.
In 1992, Ford added a convertible Mustang on the Ford Fox platform with the long name Vibrant White Mustang LX 5.0 Limited Edition Convertible to the Ford lineup. At that time, only 1,500 such cars were produced, and they went down in history under the designation Triple White Fox, because their body, interior and folding roof were painted white. Now this variation has a successor – a modern version called Mustang Ice White Edition.
In fact, the Ice White Edition is just a styling package that will be offered for the Mustang EcoBoost and Mustang GT Premium variations. The first cars in the exclusive Oxford White color will arrive at American dealerships of the Ford brand in early 2022 and will stand out among other things with “lightened” headlights, 19-inch white wheels in vintage style, as well as light nameplates.
However, the interior of the Ice White Edition variants will be two-tone. Black was chosen as the main shade, with Oxford White being used for the door and seat inserts, as well as for the stitching on the center console and dashboard. To make the interior of the car even more “cold” is intended to be an aluminum decorative strip.
Since the Ice White Edition package is offered for the Mustang EcoBoost and Mustang GT Premium, the buyer will receive their model either with a turbo four 2.3 (314 hp and 374 Nm), or with an atmospheric V8 5.0 power unit (466 hp and 569 Nm ). Both engines are paired with a 6-speed manual transmission (the GT Premium also has a speed matching function), but a 10-range SelectShift automatic transmission with paddle shifters is available for an additional fee.
