Ford Mustang Boss 429 will be revived in the USA. With 826-horsepower engine 8.4October 10, 2018
American studio Classic Recreations will present the first copy of the “restarted” Ford Mustang Boss 429 on the SEMA tuning show. In April, the company received a license from Ford to resume the release of the iconic Mustangs: Boss 302, Boss 429 and Mach 1.
Under the hood, the Mustang Boss 429 of the 1969 model will not have a 7.0-liter V8, like the original muscle car, but an 8.4-liter unit with a capacity of 826 horsepower. The engine will be equipped with a Centerforce flywheel, an updated gas distribution mechanism, a modern injection system and an electronic control unit.
The original Ford Mustang Boss 429 is considered one of the rarest versions of the Mustang. The total circulation of the model, produced from 1969 to 1970, was 1328 copies. Manufacture of maslkar adjusted for the homologation of a new racing engine. The 7.0-liter V8 on a civilian car gave out more than 500 forces, although the declared power was 380 forces and 610 Nm of torque.
From the usual Mustang Boss 429 differed hood with a functional air intake and graphics on the body. Musclecar equipped only with a manual transmission, but because of the size of the engine is not equipped with air conditioning.
In 1970, sales of the Boss 429 began to fall. Due to the high cost of the model, rising gasoline prices and a number of internal problems, Ford decided to discontinue model production.
