Ford is preparing for the premiere of a new crossoverJanuary 6, 2021
We are talking about the mid-size Ford Equator, which has 10 days left until its premiere. The appearance of the car can already be assessed without a camouflage film.
Ford will soon unveil its new Equator crossover. The debut of the car will take place on January 16 this year. The car is a product of a joint venture between Ford and JMC in China. It is noteworthy that the engines get the new product from JMC. The appearance turned out to be rather laconic and is designed for practical consumers, and not for those who are trying to stand out from the crowd.
Of the features, it is possible to note the placement of the headlights of the low and high beam. Fog lights are usually so low. The novelty gets quite impressive dimensions – 4905x1930x1755 mm with a distance between the axes of 2 865 mm. Obviously, with such dimensions, the car will receive a seven-seater cabin layout.
Most likely, we are talking about the landing formula 2 + 3 + 2. The power unit is a 2.0-liter JMC turbo engine capable of delivering 224 hp. There is no transmission information available at this time.
Most likely, we will definitely see a modification with four-wheel drive. The Ford Equator will be produced in China at JMC facilities.
China will also become the main market for cars. It is possible that South America will become one of the export destinations in the future.
Meanwhile, the popular manufacturer of toy models Maisto has made a miniature of the new Ford Bronco SUV. The models are available in 1:24 scale and will be presented in three different colors.
