Ford is preparing another new product called EvergladesJune 12, 2020
It is possible that we are talking about a new configuration Ford Bronco.
Recall that the American company recently registered the new names Wolftrak and Outfitters, and now it has also filed documents with the US Patent and Trademark Office for the name Everglades. There is no official information on whether this name will be used for the new Ford car, but at least there are some speculations.
The description mentions that it can be used for “cars, pickups, electric vehicles, SUVs and their structural parts.” This is a very wide range of potential vehicles, but the service part prevails.
As in previous Ford applications, this new name can be used for some set of equipment for the Bronco SUV. The company also has a new F-150, which will debut very soon, and the pickup could also be a potential candidate for new names.
The odds that Ford will use the Everglades name in an autonomous model currently seem very slim. A Ford spokesperson explained that “trademark applications are intended to protect new names, designs, or symbols, but do not necessarily indicate new business plans or products.”
