Ford is preparing a new brand for EuropeJanuary 13, 2020
Last summer, the media wrote about a Ford patent called Mondeo Evos. Now, foreign sources write about the new name “Stormtrak”, intended for the European market.
The American company Ford is going to offer Europeans a new product that could become the successor to Fusion / Mondeo. According to the portal motor1.com with reference to FordAuthority, the automaker plans to offer its customers in Europe a new trademark Stormtrak. Whether it will be the successor to the current Mondeo or a completely new model, it is too early to say – a new informational occasion has not yet managed to acquire facts. According to experts, the brand can work on a raised station wagon that can compete with the Subaru Outback. The novelty can be based on the C2 platform, which allows experimenting with different transmissions, motors (ICE or hybrids), as well as drive types.
The brand is going to sell a future novelty in America and Europe, therefore, experts’ assumptions about its motor line seem very convincing.
A new one-and-a-half petrol turbo engine is designed as a base for a new Ford auto. The brand can also offer Europeans a diesel version with an optimized two-liter EcoBlue engine. But hybrid modifications may appear in both markets. The debut of the new model is most likely worth the wait in 2021. In the home market, the station wagon can come out as a model in 2022, which replaced Fusion. In Europe, the new product will replace Mondeo, S-Max and Galaxy.
