Saying that Ford cars are close to American hearts is like saying that the sun will rise today. The US-based automaker has made its mark on the history of the country and the world since Henry Ford founded the company in 1903. And this reflects well on sales figures.
It turns out that Ford, as a brand, maintains a high degree of intimacy with its customers. According to a study by the largest agency Brand Intimacy Study, Ford ranks first among US automakers in 2020.
To determine brand popularity, the agency uses “emotional science” to quantify people’s attitudes toward a brand, which is defined as “the bonds we form with the brands we use and love.” It should be noted that the study has been under way for 10 years.
In this study, the American brand Jeep and the German BMW are ranked as the second and third most popular brands, respectively, with the strongest bonds with their customers. They are followed by Chevrolet, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Harley-Davidson, GMC and Audi, rounding out the top 10 this year.
It was also noted that Ford vehicles have widespread appeal to men over 35. Cars of this particular brand are chosen by leaders with an income of less than $ 100,000 per year. In the case of BMW, this figure exceeds $ 100 thousand. Chevrolet, on the other hand, is highly regarded by women.
