Ford has updated its affordable crossover TerritoryFebruary 19, 2019
The new budget crossover Ford Territory, built on the basis of the Chinese JMC Yusheng S330, will now be released in a fully electric modification.
Apparently, Ford is seeking to enter the electrified automotive segment. Recent spy photos of the updated Territory clearly indicate this to us. The test prototype received two regular outlets for charging. Apparently, one of them (in front of the logo) will be used for fast charging, and the second (in place of the gas tank neck) will be used as a charging connector at home.
While the company does not seek to disclose the details of the electrical power plant. But judging by the available segment, as well as the fact that the standard version is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo engine for 143 horses, the electric version will receive similar parameters. But the power reserve can be only 200 km.
Recall that the Ford Territory is based on the Chinese crossover JMC Yusheng S330. However, despite its Chinese origin, the model is equipped with Ford Co-Pilot360 security complex.
Electrified modification in China will be significantly more expensive than the standard version.
