Ford has prepared five pickups for the main US tuning showOctober 24, 2019
Ford unveiled five F-Series Super Duty heavy pickup concepts for the SEMA show. They were dedicated to extreme travel, overlanding and the wide range of personalization options that customers can access thanks to a large number of accessories.
The concept from tuning company LGE-CTS Motorsports is a “Swiss knife” for adventure seekers, as described by Ford. Thanks to the Pronghorn modular loading platform, it can act as a command center, camping or workshop. The pickup is equipped with an elevator suspension kit (+114 millimeters), 18-inch Method Race wheels with 37-inch BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T / A tires, a winch, a canopy with LED lights, a refrigerator, as well as tool boxes and equipment.
The Ford Accessories F-250 Super Duty Tremor Crew Cab with the Black Appearance package is arguably the best-prepared Super Duty pickup truck for off-road driving. It was equipped with Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires, a 50.8-millimeter front-axle lift, a differential with a lock on the rear and limited friction on the front axle. In addition, this Ford has Raptor-style running boards and a winch that will appear on Ford’s list of options from next year.
The most eye-catching SEMA concept is the DeBerti Design Ford F-450 Super Duty Platinum Crew Cab. The pickup is shod in 22-inch American Force wheels with Toyo tires, equipped with a bumper with drawers, a safe and a scattering of additional LED modules.
Overlanding at its most extreme manifestation is dedicated to the BDS Suspension Ford F-350 Super Duty Crew Cab XLT concept. The car’s ground clearance was increased, and the stock shock absorbers were replaced by Fox 2.5 Dual Speed Compression racing struts and springs.
The 40-inch Mickey Thompson tires are stretched over the 20-inch Method Race wheels. The Addictive Desert Designs power bumper integrates the Warn Industries Zeon 12S winch and LED auxiliary light. In the back there is a Ridetech compressor, a two-burner gas stove, a refrigerator and a tent.
The latest show car is called the CGS Performance Products Ford F-250 Super Duty Tremor Crew Cab and is also equipped with the Black Appearance package. Such a pickup received the cover of the Retrax PowerTraxPro MX cargo platform, 20-inch wheels and 37-inch General tires.
In total, more than 50 tuned Fords will be shown at SEMA. In addition, they will exhibit an all-wheel drive Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody, a Lamborghini Huracan with a Hummer H2 engine and a manual transmission from Audi R8, and an off-road Veloster Grappler concept.
