Ford has installed a hybrid diesel engine on the Tourneo minibus
March 3, 2019Ford has introduced significant updates for the Tourneo Custom minibus, equipping the passenger versions of the 2019 model year with a new diesel hybrid installation.
The new, more powerful and modern 2-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine Ford is available in three power options – 104 horsepower, 128 horsepower, and the most top-end configuration for 183 hp and 415 Nm of torque.
In addition to the fact that the new diesel engines themselves are 6% more economical, the 183 and 128 horsepower versions are also offered with a soft hybrid installation of 48 volts, which further reduces fuel consumption to 7 liters per 100 kilometers in the combined cycle.
Soft hybrid engines are offered with a manual transmission, while the regular EcoBlue versions are also available with an automatic transmission.
In addition to the new power units, the Tourneo Custom equipped with an integrated modem technology for use in WiFi mode up to 10 devices, and a parking assistance system and a traffic control system in the lane were added.
