Ford Focus pickup truck first shown in the photoDecember 14, 2018
Earlier, we wrote about the intention of the concern Ford to release a compact crossover based on the new Focus’s, and now the first photos have appeared. The photo spies managed to capture a test prototype during a road test.
Just recently, rumors began to appear about the imminent release of a pickup truck, created on a single platform with Ford Focus. But then it was assumed that a compact truck, if released, would not appear soon. Now it became clear that the company is in a hurry, and it has already begun testing the first prototypes that photospies have fallen into.
Apparently, the company is not yet ready to share any details about the future novelty. Camouflage on the future pickup admires its thoroughness. In addition to camouflage tent on the machine a lot of false panels. And in general, the impression is not a pickup truck, but a small van.
The pickup will be built on a production platform, but with an increased wheelbase. In the initial trim levels will be offered only front-wheel drive, but optionally or in more expensive trim levels will be offered four-wheel drive. The engine range will offer a turbo engine from 1.5 to 2.0 liters with a capacity of approximately 130 to 180 horsepower.
Any details are still kept secret: name, date of presentation, date of start of sales, price tag and design. It is assumed that the pickup on the basis of the Focus will relate to the model lineup in 2021.
