Ford F-150 has become an SUV for desert racingApril 3, 2020
After modernization from a well-known tuning studio, the car began to look very impressive and received excellent off-road performance.
Famous American tuning studio Mil-Spec Automotive beyond recognition transformed a Ford F-150 pickup truck. The wizard showed the results of his work on the Web on Friday, April 3. After the modernization, the car became ready for racing in the harshest deserts of the world. From the exterior, we note the recycled front of the pickup, the presence of reinforced bumpers and wide wings. But most of all, a big clearance is striking – the masters increased it to 330 mm.
Thus, the car will be able to overcome the sand dunes of the highest complexity. A modified pickup truck costs 85,000 US dollars. The tuners made two additional packages to the car. The first includes a roof rack and special spotlights, arches in the body, as well as a mount for the “reserve”. Such an option will cost $ 8,600.
For $ 6,000, you can purchase an addition to the chassis – it will include adjustable shock absorbers, power steering rods, elongated axles and brake hoses.
All this allows you to significantly increase the progress of the front and rear wheels. Under the hood of the tuned Ford F-150 is a 5.0-liter engine with a return of 507 hp, which works in tandem with a 10-speed automatic. The pickup truck has excellent dynamics – up to 100 km / h it accelerates in 5.7 seconds, which is an excellent result, given its weight. The maximum speed of the car is 177 km / h.
