The first in its history pickup Ford F-150 with a diesel engine will be presented this spring. The press service of the American automobile concern published some technical details about the future novelty and posted a video about it in Youtube.
The three-liter turbodiesel Power Stroke will be the sixth in the engine range of the F-150 pick-up truck of the 2018 model year. It has a V6 layout and produces 250 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque, starting at 1,750 rpm. Potential buyers of the most popular American pickup expect from a turbodiesel of high profitability. The average flow with this engine will be 7.8 liters of diesel fuel per 100 kilometers of track.
The new V6 turbodiesel will be connected to the standard for this model pickup 10-speed automatic transmission. However, nevertheless, it is adapted for the diesel engine, considering the maximum torque at low revs.
The preliminary order for the diesel pickup Ford F-150 will be opened in the US in the middle of this month. Buyers will receive the first copies in the spring. It will be available, both in the rear-wheel drive version, and in the version with the 4×4 four-wheel drive system in the modifications Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum SuperCrew and SuperCab.
