Ford Explorer turned into an unusual pickup

SEMA, where various tuning studios demonstrate their projects, has already ended. However, this copy of the American Ford Explorer full-size crossover looks mildly unusual.

Not so long ago a video was published sufficiently – its duration is only 32 seconds. Apparently the passers-by decided to capture an unusual car on camera. The car looks like a huge pickup. You can easily find out that we are facing the third generation Ford Explorer (the car was manufactured from 2002 to 2005). On the back of this vehicle is the V8 emblem, which indicates the presence under the hood of a 4.0-liter V8 engine with a capacity of 238 horsepower. This power unit was equipped with a serial version of this car.

Under the front door is the nameplate EXPLORER and below it is another red, but unfortunately we can not make out what they mean. On the front wings are the “6.4L” badges, which possibly indicate that the car is equipped with a 6.4 liter engine.

And now that really looks weird. The crossover no longer has rear wheels where they used to be. A large cargo platform is attached to the rear of the car, and the wheels are in the rear. By the way, the new wheels were apparently taken from a real truck – they are just huge. Also worth noting is the rather massive front part of this “Frankenstein” – it was also made separately. In fact, the crossover is in the center of this pickup.
