The images show a version of an SUV for police
The network published photographs of a police interceptor, built on the basis of Ford Explorer next generation. The off-road car, which will begin production in May of the next year, was imprinted practically without camouflage.
Earlier, the manufacturer revealed some technical details about the police SUV. It is known that Explorer will be offered with three variants of power plants: a 3.0-liter V6 EcoBoost engine, a 3.3-liter atmospheric or its hybrid version. The box is a ten-speed automatic transmission. In the pictures published by Motor1, you can see the Hybrid inscription at the bottom of the car.
In addition, the new interceptor will be faster than the previous generation, and will receive new electronic security systems. Among them: a perimeter security system with a viewing angle of 270 degrees, which can detect potential threats and automatically block doors, telemetry system and a rear-view camera.
Last year, Ford introduced a police hybrid Fusion sedan and an F-150 pickup truck, which is designed for long-lasting pursuits.
