Ford does not rule out the appearance of a right-hand drive version of the BroncoOctober 10, 2020
According to the Ford Authority, the Ford Bronco can be configured for countries with left-hand traffic.
“Currently we are focused only on the left-hand drive Ford Bronco. However, we are considering the possibility of producing a right-hand drive modification of the model, given how popular Bronco was around the world. At the same time, these are plans for the future ”, – quotes the words of Paul Reith, chief designer of projects Bronco and Bronco Sport, agency Ford Authority.
Obviously, Reith’s words do not mean that Ford will bring the Bronco to the European market any time soon, but it does provide hope for fans of the American brand in Europe. It can be assumed that if Ford rethinks its strategy and takes into account the Mustang’s success in the Old World, the transition to a right-hand drive configuration will not be difficult.
But the chances of a Bronco entering the European market in the next two to three years are slim, as Ford will have to find a cheap method to get the SUV to Europe and adjust to the region’s stringent emission standards.
Recall that the line of Bronco engines is represented by two motors of the EcoBoost family of 2.3 and 2.7 liters. The units will be able to operate with a 7-speed manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic transmission.
In addition, more recently, it was noted that the Ford spoke about what to expect from the hybrid version of the F-150 pickup 2021 model year. It should be emphasized that the press center of the brand also published a video showing the stages of testing the hybrid version of the model.
