Ford customers will be able to assemble their new Ford Bronco in SeptemberAugust 3, 2020
The American automaker is launching a configurator for its perhaps the most long-awaited and touted new product. The presentation of the revived SUV took place back in July, when the brand showed two- and three-door versions of the new “frame”, as well as the Sport version.
Ford North America Communications Manager Mike Levine posted good news on his Twitter account for those looking to acquire a 2021 Ford Bronco.
Already in September, the 2-door and 4-door Bronco will be integrated into the Ford USA configurator with full price list details.
Pre-order for the new product starts in December. Then it will be possible to verify the validity of the rumors about 230,000 “booked” cars – how many of them will turn into real deals. But the delivery of the first commercial vehicles to customers will have to wait until June 2021.
At the same time, it is noted that this period applies to those customers of the brand who hurried with their booking. All new orders are postponed to 2022. This delay is due to the unprecedented excitement around the revived SUV: for example, the limited edition Bronco First Edition sold out in just a couple of hours. After that, the brand announced its decision to double the circulation of such machines to 7,000.
The most affordable 2-door Bronco costs $ 28,500. “Four doors” will cost more – $ 33,200.
Mike Levine was also very vague about the possibility of a Bronco with the Sasquatch package available from the 7MKPP. From his words, we can conclude that such a tandem is possible subject to demand for it. Over time, diesel and hybrid engines may enter the engine range of the new Bronco. Also, over 200 factory accessories were provided for the novelty.
Earlier AutoTimesNews said that Ford refused to use inflatable seat belts in the F-150 pickup. The rear seats were equipped with such belts. Now they will be replaced by completely different devices. For example, pretensioners and load limiters.
