Ford brought to the test a mysterious prototype Mustang BullittFebruary 25, 2020
Bullitt will be discontinued after the 2020 model year.
2020 will be the last model year for the Ford Mustang Bullitt, which will be replaced by the new special edition Mustang 2021. On the eve of the photo spies saw a disguised prototype Mustang Bullitt on public roads with registration numbers of the state of Michigan, which indicates the development of its replacement.
According to experts, the upcoming Mustang Mach 1, whose debut is scheduled for just in 2021, got into the lenses of photo spies. The most obvious changes are in the front, which is maximally masked. A different radiator grill and optics should appear. The bumper also seems to be slightly modified. At the back, this prototype looks a lot like the test machine we saw last March. However, Ford now uses a redesigned serial bumper.
Interestingly, the company seems to be using components with different finishes. For example, multi-spoke wheels look like a Mustang Pony Package, while window trim matches what Mustang Bullitt currently offers.
