Ford Bronco now available with 7-speed manual transmissionSeptember 21, 2020
The new generation of the American Ford Bronco SUV is now available with a 7-speed manual transmission. This transmission was added by popular request from SUV fans.
Many people who ordered a completely new generation of the Ford Bronco SUV, which is positioned by the manufacturer as a novelty for the 2021 model year, ordered an optional Sasquatch off-road “package” with a seven-speed manual transmission. Unfortunately, the Blue Oval wanted to offer the Sasquatch only with a 10-speed automatic. Demand has obviously hit a tipping point because the automaker has made it possible for the Ford Bronco Sasquatch to come in a three-pedal configuration.
“The Bronco community of true fans expressed their desire and we heard them,” said Marc Gruber, Ford Bronco Consumer Marketing Manager.
“Our team decided to provide customers with a Sasquatch with a manual transmission. This is another example of our commitment to providing customers with the very best SUVs and accessories we can. ”
The SUVs with the optional Sasquatch “package” and manual transmission will not be available until late 2021, so interested buyers will have to show some patience. The rest of the SUV versions will be available from next spring.
The manual Sasquatch has 35-inch Goodyear off-road tires on 17-inch rims, Dana electronically locked differentials front and rear, Bilstein shocks, wider track and a final drive ratio of 4.7: 1.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that Ford had patented the name for a new SUV. The US Patent Office on Saturday, September 19, filed a patent application for the Ford brand in the name of Warthog.
