For the first time in history, Tesla Model S will become a gasoline carJanuary 1, 2021
The American blogger decided to convert the Tesla Model S into a gasoline car. The Tesla electric car, which was involved in an accident, will become a donor for it.
The author of the YouTube channel Rich Rebuilds wants to realize an unusual project. Many enthusiasts are converting petrol models into electric vehicles, but this guy decided to go the other way. His idea was a Tesla Model S with a V8 under the hood. Finding a suitable Tesla without an engine, however, proved difficult. Therefore, the blogger went to one of the dumps and bought a battered, already partially dismantled Model S
Now the electric liftback is waiting for the repair process and conversion into a gasoline car. The Tesla Model S 75 D will be powered by a 6.2-liter V8 LS3 engine from the previous, fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro. At the exit, the car should turn out to be much more powerful: for example, if in stock with its native power plant it produced 382 hp, then with a new gasoline engine its output will be 426 horsepower. On the other hand, the torque will be less: in the “Chevrolet” V8 it is 575 Nm, while in the native Tesla units – 659 Nm.
What will be the result of the re-equipment, youtuber promises to tell in the next videos.
