For the first time I managed to photograph the salon of the future BMW 4-Series ConvertibleJanuary 1, 2019
This time the photospies photographed not only a camouflaged body of new BMW 4-Series with a soft roof, but also a part of the cabin with a steering wheel, dashboard and multimedia.
Previous photos have allowed us to see that the new BMW 4-Series convertible will now be equipped with a soft folding roof. Many benefits come from this, including improved appearance, more luggage space, and improved driving performance – given that the car will be lighter. It is also assumed that the model will become cheaper relative to the current version, but this is ideal, and how it will be in reality is unknown.
New photos show not only the exterior, but also camouflaged interior. Apparently, the basis for the salon will be the model 3-Series. And despite the fact that camouflage does not allow us to consider many details, we can see the dashboard is very similar to that of the latest G20 3-Series. The only visible change is the electric roof button, located next to the parking brake button.
The steering wheel and the gearshift selector of the automatic transmission are also taken from the 3 Series. Outside, camouflage does not allow for a detailed look at the design, but it is already noticeable that the front grille resembles the design from the BMW Z4 Roadster.
It is expected that all cabriolets (G22) and coupe (G23) of the 4 Series will receive a motor line also from the 3 Series.
Meanwhile, independent designers from the studio X-Tomi Design decided to spend 2018 creating a new render. What prompted them to draw a new roadster BMW Z4, crossing it with a Korean sports car KIA Stinger.
