For Hyundai Santa Fe prepared a wild kit in the style of touring carsMay 30, 2020
Fourth generation Santa Fe has changed beyond recognition at Carlex Design
Polish workshop Carlex Design has released a wild kit for the current Hyundai Santa Fe. A complete set of aerodynamic improvements completely changes the perception of a family car – the Korean crossover becomes more aggressive and has spectacular details in the style of a touring car for body racing.
Atelier Carlex Design, known for its shocking projects, took up the revision of the current fourth generation Hyundai Santa Fe. The project was called Urban Edition.
Designers deprived the Korean crossover of a recognizable grille, offered an original two-tone body color scheme, removed all the chrome and added custom body kit elements.
The front bumper is completely new: a developed splitter has appeared, the area of air intakes has increased, the Hyundai logo has been replaced with the Carlex Design logo. Composite wheel arch extensions appeared on the wings, a huge rear wing decorated the trunk lid. At the rear bumper, the lower section has changed: a pair of “double-barreled” exhaust systems are divorced along the edges, between the nozzles there is an imitation of a diffuser. The image is complemented by 20-inch alloy wheels and light green brake calipers.
Inside, the regular front seats gave way to special sports seats trimmed with Italian Alcantara and leather. Carlex Design experts also rethought door cards, dragged the steering wheel and changed its shape. The gray-black interior was “diluted” with lime-colored accents: a bright bar indicates zero steering position and divides the seats in half.
Since Carlex Design does not talk about technical improvements to Santa Fe, we can conclude that the installation of the Urban Edition body kit and interior refinement are applicable to any configuration of the crossover. The project price was not disclosed, but it is expected that sales will start from South Korea and Poland. Probably, at the request of the customer, the appearance and interior of Santa Fe can be personalized differently.
