Audi joined the project to develop a flying car, which is conducted by Italdesign and Airbus. At the Geneva Motor Show, a new version of the prototype Pop was introduced. Up, which was stylized under the cars of the German automaker.

Prototype Pop. Up debuted a year ago. This concept car differs from the car presented in 2018 only in design.

The basis of the prototype Italdesign and Airbus – capsule-salon, designed for two people. Depending on the conditions, it either is attached to a platform on wheels, or to an aircraft with four screws. In both cases, the prototype uses electric traction to move.

According to the idea of the creators, the use of a particular platform will be determined using a mobile application, in which you must enter the destination. After that, the system itself will decide on the optimal mode of motion. When one of the modules is not used, it automatically leaves for the charging station, and then returns if necessary.

In February, the Airbus-A³ division conducted tests of an unmanned flying taxi. The Vahana project has been under development for the last two years. The first images of the flying Airbus taxi were presented in October 2016.
