Fisker will present its own prototype electric crossover in JanuaryOctober 28, 2019
The company is going to compete with the future Tesla Model Y electric crossover. So far, the American company Fisker has introduced several teasers and images of the future model. Cruising range will be more than 500 km.
Fisker is preparing to bring its own electric car to the market from the middle price segment. It is expected that the future model will stand on one step with the Tesla Model Y and enter the same price segment. Features and specifications will also correspond to one level. The first public demonstration of the pre-production prototype is due in January 2020.
This became known from a message on the official Twitter channel of the American-Danish entrepreneur Henrik Fisker. In addition, he announced a presentation of the name for the future model. In addition, he revealed plans to provide serial copies of the electric crossover under the subscription program without the need for a long-term contract.
Judging by the images presented, it is noticeable that the crossover will receive high ground clearance and a modern utilitarian design. Like the Tesla Model Y, the upcoming Fisker crossover will cost less than $ 40,000. Already in the basic configuration, it will be possible to expect automatic safety systems, adaptive cruise control, the beginnings of autonomous control and a cruising range of more than 500 km.
When and where the production will be launched has not yet been announced. Fisker assured that test trials of the prototype will begin before the end of this year. The company also develops solid-state batteries, which will allow charging electric cars in 1 minute.
Meanwhile, Fisker plans to release an electric pickup truck. In the near future, two new items are expected in the Fisker lineup, one of which is a fully electric pickup.
