Fisker announced the date of the premiere of the electric crossoverOctober 29, 2019
Fisker will introduce a new electric crossover that can compete with the Tesla Model Y in January this year. This was announced on Twitter by the founder of the company, Henrik Fisker. According to him, the name of the car and other information will be disclosed in November 2019.
It is expected that the novelty will receive a roof with solar panels to recharge the batteries. The company noted that the electric car will be the world’s first crossover with solar panels for the entire length of the roof. At the same time, the top itself will receive an electric drive – the roof section can be moved by pressing a button.
As previously reported, the crossover will be equipped with a power plant with two electric motors and a set of batteries of 80 kWh, thanks to which the car can travel up to 480 kilometers without recharging. The price of new items will be about 40 thousand dollars.
At the beginning of 2019, Fisker introduced the Emotion model, designed to compete with the Tesla Model S. The design of the four-door car with a coupe-like silhouette is made of aluminum and composite materials, which significantly reduced the weight of the car. The novelty received butterfly wing-type rear doors that open upwards for the convenience of boarding and disembarking passengers. Batteries with a capacity of 143 kWh allow you to travel on a single charge up to 650 kilometers.
