Fiat is preparing to release two new crossoversJuly 24, 2020
Both models can be presented as early as 2021. The first task will be to compete with popular compact crossovers, and the second will be able to raise the prestige and popularity of the brand.
Fiat is actively working on its lineup. On Thursday, July 23, information appeared that the manufacturer may release two new crossovers next year. They were originally announced for the Brazilian car market. Recall that Brazil is a strategically important destination for Fiat – according to the results of 2019, the brand’s dealers were able to sell 366,000 new cars here. This result is 12% higher than in 2018.
There is little information about new models at the moment, but we managed to catch the general concept. The first car will be a compact crossover and will compete in Brazil with the popular Hyundai Creta and Nissan Kicks. Most likely, the novelty will be equipped with a 1.0-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 120 to 130 hp.
The second car looks much more interesting – according to preliminary data, it may become a coupe-crossover.
Recall that at the moment Fiat has no cars with this body type. The new cars will be based on the Argo platform.
Earlier it became known that the FCA concern plans to start producing selfdriving vehicles. This will be done in cooperation with Waymo. The cars are planned to be used on public roads, and one of the applications will be courier delivery.
