Fiat is preparing special versions 500, 500X, 500L in honor of the 120th anniversary of the brand.February 26, 2019
The anniversary of compact cars will be presented at the Geneva Motor Show, which will also show the new versions of Tipo Sport and Panda Connected by Wind.
On July 11, 1899, Giovanni Agnelli founded Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino, and in order to celebrate the upcoming anniversary, Fiat prepared three special editions based on the 500 series. Cars in the “120th” series will be presented already on March 5 in the framework of the Geneva Motor Show. They will include modifications 500, 500X and 500L.
The limited edition Fiat 500 will receive a two-tone body color, a chrome strip on the bonnet, a black roof and copper parts on the alloy wheels. The interior will be a new finish with a unique design of seat upholstery.
The entire 120-year-old line will be built on the basis of top-end configurations with a choice between three engines: 1.2-liter naturally-aspirated engine with 69 horsepower; 0.9-liter twin-turbo engine with 85 hp and a 1.2-liter LPG, developing up to 69 hp
The Fiat 500x crossover will get a similar design, and will get a choice between four engines: 1.0 FireFly Turbo at 120 hp, 1.6 E-torq at 110 hp, 1.3 Multijet at 95 hp and a 1.6 hp multijet Also in the package will include LED optics.
The Fiat 500L will get its own 17-inch alloy wheels and a engine range of a 1.3-liter turbo diesel for 95 forces, a 1.4-liter gasoline engine for 95 forces, and a 1.6-liter 120 strong aspirated.
The cost and number of cars in the line is not reported. Full details will be available in Geneva on March 5th.
